Mumbai: Network18 has announced the appointment of Anurag Iyer as Chief Executive Officer of its creator-focused vertical, Creator18, signalling a strategic push to scale its presence in India’s fast-growing creator economy.
The appointment reflects Network18’s ambition to strengthen its position in the evolving digital content ecosystem, where creator-led formats and influencer-driven storytelling are increasingly shaping audience engagement and monetisation models.
The announcement was shared internally by Rahul Joshi, who highlighted the pace of disruption in the media landscape driven by digital creators. He noted that Creator18, launched as a strategic bet on creator-led content, has already demonstrated strong potential as both a concept and a business over the past year.
Network18 is now looking to position itself as a creator-led new media organisation, with a focus on building scalable content formats, nurturing emerging talent, and creating long-term intellectual property across platforms.
Iyer brings over 15 years of experience across culture marketing and the creator economy, having held leadership roles at organisations such as Collective Artists Network, InMobi, TikTok, BloombergQuint, and Network18.
Most recently, as CEO of BigBang.Social, Iyer focused on building scalable monetisation frameworks that translate cultural trends into sustainable revenue streams, moving beyond one-off influencer campaigns to long-term business models.
In his new role, Iyer will lead Creator18’s next phase of growth, with a mandate spanning operational scale-up, expansion of creator partnerships, and strengthening monetisation strategies. Based in Mumbai, he will report to Puneet Singhvi and work closely with the broader leadership team.
