Assam: News18 Assam Northeast is all set to host Rising Assam 2025 on 22nd December in Guwahati. Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam, Himanta Biswa Sarma, will grace the event as the Chief Guest.
Rising Assam is envisioned as a forward-looking platform to reflect on Assam’s development journey while highlighting the state’s aspirations and vision for the future. The programme aims to bring together key stakeholders and decision-makers to discuss the opportunities, achievements, and priorities shaping Assam’s growth story.
The event will feature two exclusive one-on-one sessions with the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma. The first will be a 30-minute interaction with Anand Narasimhan, Managing Editor and Senior Anchor, CNN-News18. This will be followed by another 30-minute one-on-one session with Paragmoni Aditya, Editor, News18 Assam North East.
In addition, the programme will have focused sessions with other senior ministers of the Assam Cabinet, which includes, Chandra Mohan Patowary (Environment & Forest, Act East Policy Affairs, Parliamentary Affairs); Atul Bora (Agriculture, Excise, Border Protection and Development, Horticulture, Implementation of Assam Accord); Ranjeet Kumar Dass (Panchayat & Rural Development, Tourism, General Administration, Law & Justice); Jayanta Malla Baruah (Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Department of Housing and Urban Affairs); Ashok Singhal (Health and Family Welfare Department, Irrigation Department); Rupesh Gowala (Labour Welfare, Tea Tribes and Adivasi Welfare, Minister of State, Home Department- Prisons, Home Guards, and Civil Defence)
