Mumbai: pladis, the international snacking company behind brands such as McVitie’s and GODIVA, has announced the appointment of Mohit Dutta as Country General Manager for India.
The leadership transition comes at a strategic juncture as the company prepares for its next phase of growth in the Indian market, with an increased focus on scaling operations, strengthening distribution, and responding to evolving consumer demand across both urban and emerging markets.
pladis continues to expand its footprint in India, with a renewed emphasis on driving category growth through sharper market execution and a more targeted approach to channel expansion.
Dutta brings over 18 years of experience across leading FMCG organisations, with strong expertise in sales, distribution, and market development. Since joining pladis in 2022 as Sales Director – India, he has played a key role in enhancing distribution capabilities and refining go-to-market strategies.
Prior to pladis, he spent nearly a decade at Mars in leadership roles across trade marketing and sales, and earlier held positions at Hindustan Unilever and Shell.
Speaking on his appointment, Mohit Dutta said, “The priority now is to accelerate growth through sharper execution, while continuing to expand our reach and build a business that stays closely aligned with evolving consumer demand.”
