New Delhi: PSL – in terms of prize pool and participation has revolutionized the way poker tournaments will be seen in India with the Virtual format. The league has signed Pocket52 as their title sponsor for its Season 3. The streaming of the entire league will be on Viacom18’s advertising-led digital arm VOOT, which comes on board as the official Streaming Partner for the Pocket52 – Poker Sports League Season 3 – Virtual.
After the successful conclusion of VPL and the online qualifiers, PSL-V saw increased interest from top gaming brands for its sponsorship. Announcing the partnerships, Amit Burman, Promoter –Pocket52 Poker Sports League said, “I am thrilled to announce the title sponsor and the official streaming partner for this season of PSL. In the past, increased demand for online and skill based games have been witnessed which has resulted in more and more brands securing opportunities for visibility on such platforms. With regards to sponsorships, Pocket52 PSL has structured plans to organize two seasons/ leagues in a year where there will be ample branding and communication opportunities for all its sponsors. Furthermore, the league follows a 100 percent legal business model with no involvement of staking and wagering.
Pocket52.com, is the largest poker network in India currently. This very passion for the game was the key driver for Pocket52 to be the title sponsor of PSL-V, Season 3. Considering the notable swing of eyeballs for digital entertainment more than TV; PSL, which began in 2016, and broadcast on Discovery Communications India’s DSPORTS channel for Season 2, now decided to collaborate with Voot, for the streaming rights of Pocket52 Poker Sports League Season 3 – Virtual.

With a user base of 100 million, Voot’s focus is towards a younger audience aligning it to the league’s target audience. The virtual matches begin from January 18th, 2021 via Live Streaming on Voot from 4:00 PM to 12:00 Midnight on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The Grand Finale is slated for Feb 20th, 2021.
