PR Professionals marks International Women’s Day with ‘Turning the Tables’ initiative at Sheroes Hangout Café

New Delhi: PR Professionals (PRP), an integrated communications firm and the flagship company of the PRP Group, marked International Women’s Day with a community initiative titled “Turning the Tables”, organised in collaboration with Chhanv Foundation and Sheroes Hangout Café.

As part of the initiative, members of the PRP team spent the day at Sheroes Hangout Café, where acid attack survivors manage and run the establishment. In a symbolic gesture, the team stepped behind the counters to serve the women who usually run the café, expressing solidarity and appreciation for their courage and resilience. The initiative aimed to create a space for meaningful conversations and shared experiences while acknowledging the inspiring journeys of the survivors.

Sheroes Hangout Café, an initiative by Chhanv Foundation, is a unique platform that empowers acid attack survivors by providing livelihood opportunities and enabling them to rebuild their lives with dignity and independence. Over time, the café has become a powerful symbol of resilience and hope.

During the visit, the PRP team interacted with the women at the café and listened to their stories, turning the initiative into a deeply moving experience that highlighted the value of empathy, community support and collective action.

Dr. Sarvesh Tiwari, Founder and Managing Director, PR Professionals, said, “Women’s Day is not just about celebration; it is about recognizing the courage and indomitable spirit of women who continue to inspire us every day. The women at Sheroes Hangout Cafe are true warriors who have turned adversity into strength. Our gesture of ‘Turning the Tables’ was a small way to acknowledge their journeys and stand in solidarity with them. Experiences like these remind us of the importance of empathy, dignity, and the power of community in creating meaningful change.”

The ‘Turning the Tables’ initiative was conceptualised by O3 Tribe, a voluntary, employee-led group within PR Professionals. Created by PRP employees, the group organises weekend outings and social initiatives designed to encourage team engagement while contributing to community impact.
