Mumbai: PropertyGuru Group has appointed Jeremy Williams as its new Chief Operating Officer. He will be leading PropertyGuru’s strategic projects, maximise operational efficiencies and manage the talent organisation across the group’s offices in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. Williams reports to Hari Krishnan, CEO, PropertyGuru Group.
Prior to joining PropertyGuru Group, Williams was the group chief financial officer at CarTrade.com, an auto classifieds company in India for over a year. He was part of the founding management team at CarTrade.com and played an important role in raising the company’s profile. During his time there, the company raised US$230 million in institutional capital from investors including Warburg Pincus, Temasek and Tiger Global.
Williams also played a key role in the acquisition of CarWale.com, one of India’s biggest internet acquisitions, as well as the post-merger integration.

Before joining CarTrade.com, Williams was with multinational airline services company Gate Gourmet for over three years, with his last position being country head, India. As country head, he directed all business operations for the Indian division of Gate Gourmet. He also worked at Enron, US Airways and The Castle Group.
