Publicis Groupe Onboards Ivan Fernandes as Strategy Advisor for Publicis Connected Media

Mumbai: Publicis Groupe has appointed Ivan Fernandes as Strategy Advisor for Publicis Connected Media, strengthening its senior advisory bench as the group sharpens its focus on media, data, technology, and business transformation.

Fernandes announced his new role through a LinkedIn post, stating that he is “excited to support Publicis leadership with strategic advisory work as they navigate what’s coming next across media, data, technology, and transformation.” He added that the appointment marks an important new chapter, while he continues to remain active across advisory, speaking, and industry-facing roles.

In his new capacity, Fernandes will work closely with Publicis Groupe’s leadership team, offering strategic counsel around the evolving connected media ecosystem. His mandate is expected to span the convergence of media, data, and technology, as well as transformation-led decision-making—areas that have become central to Publicis Groupe’s integrated platform approach.

Alongside his advisory role at Publicis Groupe, Fernandes will continue to support independent agencies, collectives, martech companies, and investors through his broader advisory practice. He will also remain engaged in public speaking and industry conversations, maintaining an external vantage point on shifts shaping the global marketing and communications landscape.

Commenting on his professional focus, Fernandes describes his work as centred on helping organisations and founders navigate scale, change, and long-term value creation. His current portfolio also includes a freelance advisory role as Sector Advisor – Media, Marketing & MarTech at Venero Capital Advisors, where he supports founders on strategic positioning and investment readiness.

The appointment reflects Publicis Groupe’s continued emphasis on future-facing capabilities within connected media, as holding companies increasingly align leadership expertise with transformation, data-led growth, and platform-driven delivery models.
