New Delhi: Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) has announced the appointment of Vishal Bhatia as its India Market Director, reinforcing the Authority’s commitment to accelerating growth in one of its top five key source markets.
Based in Mumbai, Bhatia will lead RAKTDA’s strategy and operations across India, with a focus on strengthening trade partnerships, enhancing consumer engagement, and positioning Ras Al Khaimah as a preferred year-round destination for Indian travellers. His appointment marks a strategic move to deepen the emirate’s presence in the Indian travel market, which continues to show significant outbound potential.
Bhatia brings over 20 years of expertise in travel and tourism, having successfully driven market development and sustainable visitor growth. Most recently, he served as Country Manager at VisitBritain, where he played a pivotal role in shaping and executing the UK’s tourism strategy for India. His tenure included managing integrated marketing campaigns, establishing key collaborations, and delivering impactful results in trade and consumer outreach.
