Sony Entertainment Television to launch new show Jaat Ki Jugni

Share Share ShareShare

Mumbai: Sony Entertainment Television is set to premiers new fiction show Jaat Ki Jugni on April 3rd, 2017, scheduled to air every Monday-Friday at 8:30 PM.

Love stories of Romeo and Juliet, Laila and Majnu are considered legendary for showcasing the passion, the pain and the eventual separation of lovers. But this very notion of unhappy endings is what our protagonist Bittu (Vishal Vashishtha) disagrees with. Representing the rebellious nature of today’s youth, he wants to change the popular belief with his own, that every love story must have a happy ending only.

While on the other side of the spectrum is Munni (MadirakshiMundle) who lives in the shadows of her brothers. A life which is highly protected, make believe and devoid of any men.

When the path of Independent carefree Bittu crosses with Timid & Shy Munni there is bound to be firework, thus making JaatkiJugni a VisphotakPremKahani

The successful TV Producer Rashmi Sharma creates this explosive narrative in the heartland of Jaats with all the ingredients of a potboiler. From action to humor to drama to emotion and an ensemble cast of renowned TV faces, RinkuKarmarkar, YashTonk, RichaSoni and Rakesh Pandey amongst others.

Ashish Golwalkar, Senior Creative Director, Sony Entertainment Television said, “JaatkiJugni is our ode to the classic love stories like Romeo & Juliet. We wanted to be very different in our telling and hence there was no producer better than Rashmi Sharma to partner with”.
