Mumbai: India’s sports technology platform SportVot has acquired the exclusive India streaming rights for a marquee lineup of European football’s 2026 Summer Club Friendlies, bringing live pre-season action featuring some of the continent’s biggest clubs, including Aston Villa, AS Roma, Sporting Lisbon, Bayer Leverkusen and Everton FC, to Indian football fans.
The acquisition marks another significant milestone in SportVot’s efforts to expand its global football offerings, giving Indian viewers exclusive access to pre-season fixtures featuring 22 clubs across six of Europe’s leading leagues—the Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1 and Primeira Liga.
The pre-season friendlies, scheduled across July and August, offer fans an early glimpse into preparations for the 2026-27 campaign, with clubs testing new tactical systems, integrating fresh signings and building momentum ahead of the competitive season.
Football enthusiasts will also get an opportunity to watch several high-profile players in action before the league campaigns begin. The line-up includes Lucas Vázquez and Afonso Moreira for Bayer Leverkusen, Antony and Isco at Real Betis, Corentin Tolisso and Loïs Openda representing Olympique Lyon, Donyell Malen beginning a new chapter with AS Roma, and Alejandro Garnacho making his early appearances for Aston Villa.
Commenting on the development, Siddhant Agarwal, Founder & CEO, SportVot, said, “European football has one of the most passionate fan bases in India, but access to the sport beyond the marquee leagues has always been limited. That changes now. We’re bringing genuine European club football with big names, big clubs, real match action to Indian fans on SportVot, right as these teams gear up for a huge season ahead. This is exactly the kind of content we want SportVot to be known for.”
With the exclusive rights, every match will be streamed live on the SportVot app and website, enabling Indian fans to follow Europe’s top clubs throughout the pre-season from a single platform.
The move further reinforces SportVot’s strategy of broadening its premium sports content portfolio while catering to India’s rapidly growing football audience, which continues to seek greater access to international competitions beyond the regular league calendar.
