According to the BARC data for week 17, in TN/Pondy region Sun Network has delivered a reach of 1911 mn impressions which is almost the double of the closest competitor.
Staggering reach in the states of AP/Telangana with 1128 million impressions across the state. In Karnataka, no one comes close to Sun Network as the network has delivered a reach of 791 MN impressions which is almost five times the reach of the closest competitor. 289 mn impressions in Kerala too make the Sun Network, an undisputed leader in the South Market.
On the other hand, Gemini TV strengthened further this week by scoring 554.6 Mn impressions and emerged as a Strong No.1 player. Surya TV recorded 158.9 Mn impressions with No.2 position in Kerala ending closely to No.1 channel Asianet.
Udaya TV becomes only Kannada channel to see growth during Covid-19 period
Udaya TV, the Kannada GEC from Sun TV Network has emerged as the leader in among Kannada Entertainment Channels. is the only channel in the Kannada Market that has seen growth in the Covid-19 period as compared to the Pre-Covid period.
Udaya TV delivered weekly impressions of 212.1 MN in the pre-covid period and saw a growth of 79% which is a total of 380.2 MN impressions in Week 17. These numbers make Udaya TV the No.1 kannada channel in the competitive Karnataka market.
Zee Kannada, Colors Kannada and Suvarna all these channels have de-grown in the Covid-19 period as compared to the Pre-Covid period.
