Chennai: The AHMP India Foundation (Association of Healthcare Marketing Professionals) has announced its National Core Committee for the 2026–2028 term, appointing Chennai-based healthcare branding expert Mohammed Ilias as Chairman.
The appointment marks a significant recognition for South India’s growing contribution to healthcare marketing and communication, with Mohammed Ilias set to lead the organisation’s efforts towards strengthening ethical, patient-centric, and collaborative healthcare marketing practices across India.
Mohammed Ilias is the Founder & Director of BCC Healthcare and serves as a Chief Brand Strategist with over 17 years of experience in healthcare branding and strategic communication. Over the course of his career, he has worked with more than 450 hospital brands across India and international markets and is widely known for advocating ethical and patient-focused healthcare marketing approaches.

Alongside Chairman Mohammed Ilias, the AHMP India Foundation also announced its National Core Committee for the 2026–2028 term, comprising industry leaders from healthcare communication, consulting, academia, and allied healthcare services.
Kapil Pandya, Group Head, Healthcare Communication, Branding & Strategy at Krish Heart Care, has been appointed Convener of the committee.
The National Leads include Dr. Sumit Kapadia for Clinician Partnerships, Rajarajan S for Healthcare Marcom Organisations, Raju Parekh for Healthcare Allied Services, D S Chakravarthi for Healthcare Organisations, Ekta Modi for Academic Partnerships, Mahender Pala for Healthcare Consulting Partnerships, and Chitra Baskar for Emerging Marketeers.
According to the organisation, the newly formed leadership team brings together a diverse blend of clinical expertise, operational leadership, academic insight, and healthcare marketing experience aimed at strengthening India’s healthcare marketing ecosystem through ethical collaboration, professional development, and industry-academia partnerships.
