Kolkata: Omnicom-owned creative agency TBWA\India is witnessing a churn at the top.
The agency is relocating Ian Marlowe, global brand leader at TBWA\Worldwide, to India to spearhead two of its biggest clients, Nissan and Datsun, following the exit of Nirmalya Sen as TBWA\India president.
Louella Rebello, who joined the agency as executive creative director in April, has also put in her papers.
While Manosh Mukherjee, group COO & CFO at TBWA\India, too had put in his papers, the agency has been successful in retaining him. TBWA\India recently hired Rajesh Kochchar as EVP and head of TBWA-\Delhi. Sen exits after nine years. He started his career in 1992 with Jenson & Nicholson and then moved to Grey in 1996. He then worked with Saatchi & Saatchi and DDB Mudra before joining TBWA\India in 2006.
Vineet Bajpai, Group CEO at TBWA\India said, “These are all people who are moving on for better opportunities and there is nothing to be made out of it. It is a routine change agencies sometimes go through.” He said the agency is bringing the best of its talents to India. “I have always believed TBWA\India is perhaps the most underleveraged international agency brand in India and there is a tremendous amount of ground we can cover in India.”
