MUMBAI: Telegram, an instant messaging platform with more than one billion monthly active users, has launched its first global contest for content creators. With a prize fund of $50,000, the contest invites participants worldwide to create a compelling and viral video that showcases Telegram’s legacy of innovation in messaging.
The contest aims to creatively highlight how Telegram has consistently led the way in messaging innovation, often years ahead of its WhatsApp. These innovations include file sharing, channel broadcasting, customizable interfaces, bot integration, and more. Many of these tools the company claims have since become industry standards.
To help creators craft their entries, Telegram has published a curated list of 30 breakthrough features that it introduced first. This list is available on Telegram’s official Design channel and serves as a creative reference for participants looking to inform, entertain, and engage a global audience.
