Mumbai: Vigo Video – an app for original short-video content through various dimensions of creativity, fun and talent, had initiated an official movement for the recent Kerala floods under #VigoLetsHelpKerala. This campaign, which was active between 19th August to 25th August 2018, appealed its users of the app to participate in this initiative through a video.
With this creative initiative, INR 1,461,951 is the total amount for donation, through creation of 59,181 original videos on the platform and 1,519,547 sharing of the videos on social media. Through this campaign,Vigo Video had officially announced a promised donation of INR 1 Million to the affected people, and an additional Rs. 1/- and Rs. 5/- was contributed through every share and creation of a new video. This entire amount, which has been a collaborative effort of the people through Vigo Video will be given to the people of Kerala through the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund.
Sharing about the initiative, the spokesperson from Vigo Video India shares, “We have successfully accomplished our initiative by donating INR 1,461,951 to the affected people of Kerala. The response that we have received was tremendous and considering that every person’s contribution is valuable, we would be glad to take further steps and extend our helping hand to the community to bring back the beauty of Kerala.“
