Chennai: Zee Tamil, one of Tamil Nadu’s leading entertainment channels, is set to launch the second season of its acting reality show Mahanadigai, aimed at discovering the next leading female star of Tamil cinema.
Following the success of its debut season, the reality show returns with a bigger format, tougher acting challenges, and fresh opportunities for aspiring actresses across the state. The grand premiere of Mahanadigai Season 2 will air on Saturday, May 23 at 8:30 PM, with subsequent episodes scheduled every Sunday at 8:30 PM.
The reality series has been conceptualised as a dedicated acting platform for women aspiring to enter the film industry. Through auditions conducted across Tamil Nadu, the channel shortlisted contestants who will compete through a range of acting-based tasks designed to evaluate emotional depth, improvisation, screen presence, and versatility.
Adding star appeal to the show are acclaimed actresses Radhika Sarathkumar and Swasika, who join the show as judges and mentors. Drawing from their industry experience, the duo will guide contestants through the competition while evaluating their performances throughout the season.
Popular radio jockey and television personality RJ Vijay will host the show, bringing his trademark energy and humour to the format.
