Mumbai: Zurich Kotak General Insurance Company (India) Limited today announced the appointment of Birendra Mohanty as its Chief Business Officer (CBO). In his new role, Mohanty will oversee Bancassurance (including Banca Digital), Financial Institutions Group (FIG), SME, Institutional & Government Business.

An accomplished insurance professional, Mohanty brings over two decades of experience across Agency and Broking, SME, and Bancassurance. He has held various leadership roles at ICICI Lombard GIC, where he was widely recognized for expanding sales channels and driving customer-focused solutions.
At Zurich Kotak General Insurance, Mohanty will play a crucial role in enhancing sales and distribution frameworks, as the company looks to scale new heights and deliver best-in-class insurance solutions to customers across India.
