Edu-tech startup Makkajai ropes in Voot as digital Partner

Mumbai: Pune based ed-tech startup Makkajai, today, announced the All India Math competition that it is bringing to India for the first time after its huge success in US and UK. Makkajai’s Monster math is an award winning game that helps kids learn Math in a fun way. Viacom18 has extended its support to this competition as the digital partner of the competition through its popular OTT platform VOOT. Amazon has also partnered with Makkajai for this competition.

The Monster Math’s mobile game championship is taking place this February.This championship will impart the basic arithmetic skills through a medium that the kids will love immensely i.e. mobile game.

The competition is open for kids between Senior KG to 5th standard. The winners can take home cash scholarships worth Rs.1.5L, besides the daily prizes. Makkajai is the ed-tech startup behind this game. They have been actively making math’s learning fun and effective for over 2.5 Mn kids across the world, through their mobile math’s game – Monster Math!

  • The only educational game to win the “Best Indie Game” award for 2016 by Google
  • Named the “Best Math App” for 2 consecutive years by PCAdvisorUK
  • The only Primary Math Game to receive invitation to the exclusive EdSurge Conferences in Washington D.C., New Orleans and Austin

Monster Math has been designed by a team comprising educators from Teach for India and the US, Art Directors building Game Simulators for the US Air Force, Teachers and graduates from the Indian School of Business.By blending learning with gaming, Monster Math offers a unique and the best platform for kids to challenge themselves to get better at math in a zero-stress manner.

Vinayak Palankar, Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer at Makkajai says, “We conducted a similar competition in US last year and saw massive participation. These days it’s difficult to force kids to solve even a single worksheet with 10 questions, but last year’s winner solved 7318 correct equations in 1 week to win the top spot. This shows how well children can perform when learning is made fun and stress free. With All India Maths Challenge, we are asking kids to compete with themselves, there is no time pressure. There is no penalty for wrong answers, you just have fun and do maths. The registrations are done on the makkajai website.”
