Kochi: Kerala has turned 60, how happy and content are the people of Kerala? In a bid to find an answer to this question, Manorama News is organizing a conclave covering the state’s socialpoliticalcultural spectrum at Kochi on 3rd June , 2017.
The conclave with the a central theme ” Happiness” will discuss a wide range of topics – politics, entertainment, confidence of the Malayalee women, emerging talents, and Wellness, among others. Experts from different fields including politics, cinema, industry, bureaucracy, will attend the day lone event.
A ‘Happiness Survey’ to measure happiness of Malayalees would also be conducted as part of the conclave. Many countries have rejected Gross Domestic Product (GDP) as the only way to measure progress as they feel Gross National Happiness (GNH) should be the measurement to gauge a nation’s prosperity. Denmark has been declared the planet’s most contented nation, while India ranks 118th out of 156 countries in a global list of the happiest countries. It is for the first time a Malayalam channel is taking up a task of this magnitude. The inauguration of the Conclave would be done by the Honourable CM and the key note address by Sri Sri Ravishankar.
