Dilse 90.8, billed as the first Malayalam radio station in the UAE for the Romedy genre, will be launched on November 1, 2023. The frequency will be available across all Emirates in the UAE and also in the Oman region. Apart from Malayalam content, the radio station will also have content in Tamil. The promoters of Dilse 90.8 are President & Director Anil Ayroor, Director Mithilaj Abdul, who will also be heading the creative, and Co-Director Fayas Prakash.
Speaking with Medianews4u.com, Ayroor said, “There are more than 3 million Indians in UAE; 40 pc of that are from South India. Dilse is targeting this section of people. One of the highlights is that we are launching a reality show on radio, which will be the first of its kind. The frequency will be available on TV as well, which will make Dilse 90.8 the first radio station to be available in video format. The station launch will be on November 1, the foundation day of the state of Kerala. Another USP of the radio station is that there is no non-prime time, every programme is a prime time one.”
Abdul noted that the mix of music genres with a strong focus on local talent will make Dilse stand out from other radio stations.
