Bengaluru, January 31st, 2024:

In a significant move towards bridging the digital divide and empowering young minds, boAt, India’s leading consumer electronics brand, has partnered with Namma Bengaluru Foundation (NBF) to launch the Computer Classes Program for Government School Kids. This Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative aims to equip underprivileged students with essential computer skills, opening doors to new opportunities and propelling them towards a brighter future.

The program, designed to empower young minds with the tools needed to thrive in the digital age, will offer hands-on training and comprehensive exposure to fundamental computer skills. Students will delve into essential topics like basic computer operations, digital literacy, and software applications, gaining the confidence and knowledge to navigate the ever-evolving digital landscape.

“At boAt, we believe in the power of technology to empower and transform lives,” said Sameer Mehta, Co-founder, and CEO at boAt. “Through this collaboration with Namma Bengaluru Foundation, we aim to equip underprivileged students with the essential computer skills they need to bridge the digital divide and unlock their full potential. We are confident that this program will not only enhance their learning experience but also open doors to new avenues for personal and professional growth.”

Echoing this sentiment, Sanjay K Prabhu, Trustee at Namma Bengaluru Foundation, stated, “We are thrilled to partner with boAt in this impactful initiative. The Computer Classes Program will play a pivotal role in bridging the digital divide and empowering government school students with the necessary skills to excel in today’s digital world. We believe that access to technology and knowledge is critical for creating a level playing field, and this program embodies our commitment to fostering inclusive education and empowering future generations.”

The Computer Classes Program will be implemented across select government schools in Bengaluru, catering to students from diverse backgrounds. By equipping them with valuable digital skills, boAt and NBF aim to not only enhance their academic performance but also prepare them for success in higher education and future careers.

Together, boAt and Namma Bengaluru Foundation are taking a significant step towards bridging the digital divide and empowering the future generation. The Computer Classes Program for Government School Kids promises to equip young minds with the tools they need to navigate the digital landscape and unlock their full potential.
