Times Network acquires Digit.in, enhances tech and gaming community presence

Times Network has acquired Digit.in from 9.9 Group, encompassing both print and digital business. This strategic move shows Times Network’s commitment to strengthening its digital publishing portfolio and expanding in technology and gaming sectors.

Times Network’s acquisition bolsters its digital publishing business, reaching 110+ million monthly users, 1+ billion monthly video views, and exceeding 4 billion monthly reach. As the country’s fastest-growing multimedia news network, it delivers credible news and analysis in English and Hindi across general and business categories.

Since its establishment in 2001, Digit has been a key player in the technology sector, guiding people in choosing and using technology. Digit has grown its online presence with Digit.in and is a top publisher. It is also known for its vibrant communities, including Digit Squad and SCGC, with a total reach of 180 million, showing its strong influence in the tech world.

N Subramanian, Chief Executive Officer (New Media and Investments) of Times Group, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “At Times, we are committed to creating high-value digital communities that leverage audiences and commerce to deliver unparalleled value. We believe Digit fits very well in our overall strategy of building a portfolio of digital products catering to diverse audiences. It will help bring in new audiences to the network. Digit’s inclusion in Times Network’s digital portfolio bolsters its tech presence, collaborating seamlessly with existing assets to provide advertisers with a prime platform for engaging with a tech-savvy audience. Indium Capital served as the sole investment banking advisor for this acquisition.
