Hyderabad: Meltwater has unveiled its new office in Hyderabad, marking a significant milestone in its global expansion strategy. This new office, the company’s fourth in India and second global launch in four months, is set to become Meltwater’s emerging AI hub, focusing on cutting-edge advancements in artificial intelligence, fostering local tech talent, and expanding its global R&D operations.

Aditya Jami, CTO of Meltwater, highlighted the importance of this expansion, stating, “One of our core tenets at Meltwater is to think globally and act locally, pairing a world-class product and global reach, with top talent in local markets. The new Hyderabad office will serve as a dedicated AI hub, focusing on cutting-edge advancements in computer vision, speech-to-text, agentic AI, and more. This marks a significant milestone in expanding our R&D footprint, which now includes over 500 team-members across 50 global offices — all critical in driving the next phase of AI-focused innovation and product development.”

The Hyderabad office, located in Hi-Tech City, sits at the heart of India’s growing tech landscape. It will play a pivotal role in advancing Meltwater’s AI capabilities, which already analyze 1.5 billion pieces of content daily, delivering actionable insights to 27,000 customers worldwide.

In just three months, Meltwater has interviewed over 250 candidates in Hyderabad and onboarded a team of 20+ experts, with plans to double this number by Q1 2025. The company has actively collaborated with local tech institutions, including IIIT Hyderabad and IITs, and partnered with organizations such as NASSCOM and T-AIM.

Dhruv Gupta, Senior Director, Engineering & GM India at Meltwater, emphasized Hyderabad’s potential, saying, “Hyderabad’s vision to establish itself as the AI capital of India perfectly aligns with our decision to invest in this city. Our new emerging AI hub is a critical step in scaling up our AI engineering capabilities and advancing product development to meet the demands of our 27,000 customers worldwide. As a global leader in AI-driven insights, we are excited to leverage Hyderabad’s exceptional talent pool and thriving technology ecosystem to further our innovation journey.”
