Mumbai: Luminous Power Technologies, India’s leading consumer energy fulfilment company, has announced the appointment of Vivek Abrol as its Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, effective Monday, January 19, 2026.
In his new role, Abrol will focus on driving profitable growth across the Luminous portfolio, advancing the company’s evolution into an integrated consumer energy fulfilment platform, and accelerating the expansion of solar and sustainable energy solutions. His mandate includes reinforcing Luminous’ leadership in its core inverter and battery businesses, prioritising new and emerging technologies, and fostering innovation, digital transformation and operational excellence to enhance customer experience. He will also focus on building a high-performance, inclusive and future-ready organisation.
Vivek Abrol succeeds Preeti Bajaj, who will transition to Luminous’ parent company, Schneider Electric, where she will take on the role of Executive Vice President (EVP) and lead the company’s Global Home Solutions Division.
During her tenure, Preeti Bajaj played a pivotal role in shaping Luminous’ growth and solar journey, strengthening its position as a leading Fast Moving Energy Goods brand and transforming it into a trusted name in consumer energy fulfilment. Under her leadership, the company significantly expanded its solar portfolio and capabilities, accelerated the adoption of sustainable energy solutions, deepened its focus on customer-centric innovation, and enhanced operational excellence.

Abrol brings over 25 years of leadership experience, including more than a decade as CEO, with deep expertise across FMCG, stationery and electricals. He began his career at ITC Ltd, where he spent 16 years in multi-disciplinary leadership roles scaling FMCG businesses. He later served as Business Head and CEO across diverse sectors with Pidilite Industries Ltd and RR Kabel Ltd, managing end-to-end operations.
Most recently, as CEO of RR Kabel’s Consumer Electricals Business (FMEG), Abrol led a transformational growth journey, multiplying the business fivefold over a 4.5-year tenure while driving innovation across categories such as fans, lighting, geysers, room heaters and coolers. His experience also includes leading M&A initiatives and playing a pivotal role in the successful delivery of a public listing.
With this appointment, Luminous Power Technologies aims to strengthen its leadership position in consumer energy fulfilment while accelerating its transition towards sustainable, technology-led energy solutions.
