Mumbai: Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu India LLP (Deloitte India) has announced a strategic alliance with Confluent Inc. to help enterprises modernise legacy systems, unlock real-time data and prepare for AI-driven transformation.
The collaboration combines Deloitte India’s industry expertise and transformation capabilities with Confluent’s comprehensive data streaming platform, enabling organisations to stream, connect, process and govern data in motion across their businesses.
Many enterprises continue to operate vast volumes of data across mainframes, monolithic databases and traditional messaging systems, resulting in siloed and static environments that limit real-time decision-making and constrain AI adoption. Through this alliance, Deloitte India and Confluent aim to unlock core business data and modernise complex legacy ecosystems.
The joint offering will support enterprises across the full lifecycle of migration, re-platforming and re-architecting legacy applications onto a modern, cloud-native data streaming platform. Confluent brings real-time data capabilities, a broad ecosystem of managed connectors and a fully managed streaming platform with strong reliability and governance. This will be complemented by Deloitte India’s strategic methodologies, automation tools such as innoWake, and reference architectures to enable secure, low-risk migration.

Karthikeyan Krishnamoorthy, Executive Director, Deloitte India, said, “The alliance strengthens our ability to support clients as they modernise legacy systems and move towards real-time and AI-ready operations. By combining Deloitte India’s transformation experience with Confluent’s real-time data streaming platform, we aim to help organisations unlock core business data, simplify complex environments and improve readiness for modern digital and AI applications.”

Hemendra Upadhyay, Partner, Deloitte India, said, “Enterprises today need partners who can work together seamlessly to help them navigate complex transformation agendas. The power of any collaboration lies in how it brings the right expertise to the table at the right time. This alliance reflects our commitment to supporting clients with integrated capabilities as they take on larger digital and AI-led priorities.”
The alliance will also enable AI and generative AI adoption by ensuring continuous access to fresh, trusted data streams. Data unlocked from legacy systems through Confluent will serve as contextual inputs powering AI and machine learning applications, as well as Deloitte India’s GenAI frameworks. The objective is to help enterprises deliver accurate and value-driven AI outcomes by ensuring that AI systems are continuously supplied with reliable data.
In addition, the collaboration will support deployment of real-time business use cases such as instant payments, hyper-personalisation, predictive maintenance and fraud detection. Leveraging Deloitte India’s deep industry expertise across banking, capital markets, retail and manufacturing, the alliance aims to identify and implement high-impact scenarios that drive revenue growth and enhance risk management.

Kamal Brar, Senior Vice President, Partner and Technology Group, Confluent, said, “Indian organisations are rapidly adopting data streaming for their most critical systems. By combining Confluent’s industry-leading data streaming platform with Deloitte India’s deep transformation expertise, we are providing the ‘central nervous system’ required to turn every action into instant intelligence and accelerate India’s digital revolution,”
