Mumbai: Ford Models, one of the world’s most prestigious and influential modelling agencies, is set to make its official entry into India with an open casting call scheduled in Mumbai on May 16, 2026.
The move marks the first time the globally renowned agency will scout talent directly in India, offering aspiring models a rare opportunity to be discovered and represented on an international platform.
Founded in 1946 in New York by Eileen Ford, Ford Models has played a defining role in shaping the global fashion industry for over eight decades, discovering and nurturing some of the most iconic faces in fashion. As part of its international expansion and talent scouting initiatives, the agency is now turning its focus to India to identify the next generation of global models.
Applications for the open casting are now live, inviting aspiring models from across the country to participate. The initiative aims to discover fresh faces with global potential, with eligibility criteria including an age range of 15 to 25 years, a minimum height of 170 cm for women and 180 cm for men, and parental consent for applicants below 18 years.
The initiative underscores India’s growing significance as a key market for fashion and talent, as global agencies increasingly look to tap into the country’s diverse and emerging pool of creative professionals.
