Hyderabad: Zee Telugu is set to bolster its weekend programming with the return of its popular children’s reality show Drama Juniors Season 9 alongside the World Television Premiere of action drama Champion.
The broadcaster announced that the new season of Drama Juniors, one of Telugu television’s longest-running and most popular children’s reality formats, will premiere on ZEE5 from 21 May before making its television debut on Zee Telugu from 23 May. The show will air every Saturday and Sunday at 9 PM.
Over the years, Drama Juniors has established itself as a prominent platform for young talent across the Telugu entertainment industry, with several contestants from previous seasons going on to build careers in television and cinema. Known for its blend of emotional storytelling, performances, and family-centric entertainment, the reality format has built a strong following among audiences in Telugu-speaking markets.
The latest season will feature actor and television personality Sudheer as host, while the judging panel includes filmmaker Anil Ravipudi, actor Roja, and veteran actor Srikanth. The channel said the new season aims to deliver a mix of entertainment, mentorship, humour, and emotionally engaging performances.
In addition to the reality show launch, Zee Telugu will also air the World Television Premiere of Champion, starring Roshan Meka and Anaswara Rajan, on Sunday at 5:30 PM.
The action drama, which has garnered attention among younger audiences, combines action, emotional storytelling, and family entertainment elements. The premiere is expected to strengthen Zee Telugu’s weekend movie offering and further drive family viewership.
With the combined launch of a flagship reality franchise and a major film premiere, Zee Telugu continues to focus on expanding its weekend entertainment slate through a mix of reality programming and cinematic experiences aimed at family audiences across the region.
