Mumbai: Zohair Shaikh has joined JioBLAST as Head of Marketing. He joins JioBLAST following his most recent role in GTM Strategy and Product Monetisation at BigBang.Social.
With more than 15 years of experience across marketing, digital strategy, brand building and business development, he brings a diverse background spanning agencies, digital platforms and consumer engagement ecosystems.
Sharing the announcement on LinkedIn, Zohair reflected on the opportunity and the growing significance of India’s esports sector. He shared, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Marketing at JioBLAST!
The most interesting industries are often the ones people underestimate before they become impossible to ignore. Esports in India is approaching that inflection point. What was once viewed as a niche is steadily becoming a cultural force, fuelled by creators, communities, technology and an audience that continues to grow in both scale and influence.

At JioBLAST, Shaikh is expected to lead the company’s marketing strategy, focusing on building brand visibility, expanding audience engagement and strengthening its positioning within India’s fast-growing gaming and esports ecosystem.
Before joining BigBang.Social, Shaikh held leadership and strategic roles across organisations including aló, Span Communications, Everymedia Technologies Pvt Ltd, Market Men Consumer Connect & Events, Jazzap, Interactive Avenues and Gozoop Online, where he began his career in 2009 as an Online Reputation Manager.
Over the course of his career, he has built expertise across account management, digital marketing, digital strategy, business development and brand strategy, working across multiple sectors and consumer categories.
