Mumbai: WPP Media has strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Kartik Lakshmanan as Group Head – Reservation Buying, where he will lead reservation buying operations across multiple client accounts and media channels.
In his new role, Lakshmanan will be responsible for driving excellence in non-biddable media planning, enhancing campaign performance, managing cross-functional teams, and improving operational efficiency across the agency’s media buying operations.
Lakshmanan joins WPP Media with a strong background in integrated media planning and advertising, having built his career across leading agency networks including Omnicom Global Solutions, GroupM, and FoxyMoron.
Before joining WPP Media, he played a key role at Omnicom Global Solutions, where he managed integrated media planning for international brands such as Visit Britain and British Airways. His experience also includes developing digital media strategies for Disney Star’s portfolio and executing campaigns for major financial services brands, including ICICI Bank and ICICI Lombard.
Across his career, Lakshmanan has developed expertise in media planning, campaign optimisation, performance marketing, and cross-channel advertising strategy, working with both global and domestic brands across diverse sectors.
His appointment comes as media agencies continue to strengthen specialised capabilities in planning and buying amid the growing complexity of omnichannel advertising and evolving client expectations around measurable campaign outcomes.
At WPP Media, Lakshmanan is expected to play a key role in advancing reservation buying capabilities while supporting integrated planning strategies and delivering greater efficiency across the agency’s media operations.
