Mumbai: Meta has announced the appointment of Arun Srinivas as the Managing Director and Head for India, effective July 1, 2025. This strategic leadership move comes in the wake of Sandhya Devanathan’s expanded mandate to oversee operations across both India and South East Asia.
In his new role, Srinivas will lead Meta’s India operations, bringing together the company’s business, innovation, and revenue priorities to better serve partners, clients, and the broader digital ecosystem. His primary focus will be to strengthen Meta’s long-term growth in India and deepen its partnerships with leading brands, advertisers, developers, and agency partners.
Currently serving as Director and Head of Ads Business for Meta India, Srinivas has been a key force behind the company’s strategic revenue efforts since he joined in 2020. He has worked extensively with top advertisers and agencies, driving adoption of AI-powered advertising, Reels, and Messaging solutions across Meta platforms.

“As India continues to be at the forefront of economic growth and innovation, we are excited to have Arun at the helm of our efforts in this critical market. Meta in India is leading the way in AI adoption, WhatsApp, and Reels, and Arun’s impressive track record of building high-performing teams, driving product innovation, and fostering strong partnerships makes him the ideal leader to drive Meta’s continued investment in the country. He will continue to work closely with me as we scale the business in India,” said Sandhya Devanathan, Vice President (India and South East Asia), Meta.
An alumnus of IIM Kolkata, Srinivas brings with him nearly three decades of leadership experience across organizations such as Hindustan Unilever, Reebok, Ola, and WestBridge Capital. His career spans high-impact roles in sales, marketing, and investment, making him well-suited to lead Meta’s operations in one of its fastest-growing global markets.
As Meta doubles down on its AI, business messaging, and short-form content focus areas, Srinivas will be at the forefront of driving innovation and expanding Meta’s footprint in India’s dynamic digital economy. He will continue reporting to Sandhya Devanathan in his elevated role.
