AutoVRse transforms Workplace Safety with #TrainSafeWithVR Initiative for National Safety Week
Share Share ShareShare

Mumbai: AutoVRse, a provider of Virtual Reality (VR) training solutions for enterprises, has launched the #TrainSafeWithVR campaign to transform workplace safety training in high-risk industrial environments. Announced during National Safety Week (March 4-10, 2025), the initiative highlights the role of AI-powered VR training in reducing workplace accidents and enhancing safety compliance across industries.

AutoVRse is tackling DIRE scenarios—Dangerous, Impossible to recreate, Rare, and Expensive—where traditional safety training methods fall short. In high-risk industries like oil & gas, cement, steel, and pharmaceuticals, VR-based training enables workers to simulate hazardous situations in a risk-free, immersive environment, allowing them to practice emergency responses and refine critical technical skills.

“Industries must reconsider their approach to safety training as industrial operations become more complex and dangerous,” said Ashwin Jaishanker, CEO of AutoVRse. “Traditional methods struggle to replicate real-world dangers, while younger, digitally native employees prefer immersive, interactive learning experiences. VR training bridges this gap by providing a risk-free, engaging, and effective way to practice safety protocols.”

According to industry reports, workplace accidents remain a critical issue in high-risk industries, with 240 reported incidents in manufacturing alone in 2024, resulting in over 400 fatalities and 850 serious injuries. Traditional training methods often fail to adequately prepare employees for such scenarios, necessitating innovative and technology-driven approaches.

Ultratech Cement implemented VR-based training across 55 plants, reducing safety incidents by 45% among 60,000 employees.

JSW Steel saw a 37% increase in safety compliance among new employees after deploying VR simulations for high-risk operations like furnace maintenance.

Studies show VR-based training improves knowledge retention by 75%, while cutting training time by 40% and increasing engagement rates to 90% among Gen Z employees.

Observed annually from March 4-10, National Safety Week aims to promote workplace safety awareness across industries. The #TrainSafeWithVR campaign aligns with National Safety Week’s 2025 theme: ‘Empowering the Next Generation of Safety Leaders’ by collaborating with major industrial players to implement immersive training programs that address critical safety challenges.

“With this campaign, we aim to set a new standard for industrial safety training,” added Jaishanker. “By leveraging VR technology, companies can ensure that every worker is better prepared, more confident, and ultimately safer on the job.”

With AI-powered VR training rapidly becoming the gold standard for safety preparedness, AutoVRse’s #TrainSafeWithVR campaign is set to redefine workforce training, ensuring safer, smarter, and more efficient industrial operations across India.
