BARC Week 22: Zee Telugu claims No. 4 spot in South channel category

BARC Week 24: South Channels remain intact without any significant changes in pecking order

In the South channel category in Week 22 of BARC data, the top three positions in the chart remained the same compared to last week. Sun TV maintained its lead with 2446.14 (000) AMA followed by Star Maa with 2156.15 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and Star Vijay with 1684.28 (000) AMA at 3rd spot. Zee Telugu shifted one spot up and claimed the 4th position with 1437.13 AMA. Zee Kannada slipped one spot down and stood at 5th position with 1425.01 (000) AMA.

Tamil (Tamil Nadu/Pondicherry)

Among the Tamil speaking market, Sun TV continued its lead with 2217.99 (000) AMA followed by Star Vijay with 1588.6 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot. Zee Tamil shifted one spot up and claimed the 3rd position with 775.43 (000) AMA. KTV slipped one spot down and stood at 4th position with 724.76 (000) AMA. Star Vijay Super with 476.77 (000) AMA retained its 5th spot.

Kannada (Karnataka) 

In the Kannada speaking market, the positions in the chart remained same compared to last week. Zee Kannada continued its lead with 1410.98 (000) AMA followed by Colors Kannada with 822.35 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and Udaya TV with 535.72 (000) AMA at 3rd spot. Star Suvarna retained its 4th spot with 477.73 (000) AMA followed by Udaya Movies at 5th spot with 359.4 (000) AMA.

Malayalam (Kerala)

Among the Malayalam speaking market, the positions in the chart remained unchanged compared to last week. Asianet continued its lead with 939.47 (000) AMA followed by Flowers TV with 228.83 (000) AMA at the 2nd spot and Mazhavil Manorama at 3rd spot with 200.68 (000) AMA. Zee Keralam retained its 4th spot with 183.43 (000) AMA followed by Surya TV at the 5th spot with 152.39 (000) AMA.

Telugu (Andhra Pradesh/Telangana) 

In the Telugu speaking market, the positions in the chart remained same compared to last week. Star Maa continued its lead with 2028.66 (000) AMA followed by Zee Telugu at the 2nd spot with 1399.52 (000) AMA and ETV Telugu with 907.09 (000) AMA at the 3rd spot. Gemini TV retained its 4th spot with 697.53 (000) AMA followed by Star Maa Movies with 586.48 (000) AMA at 5th spot.
