BARC Wk 38: Colors emerges as market leader of Urban HSM;  Zee Anmol retains dominance in U+R HSM

BARC Wk 2 : Sony regains top spot in Urban HSM & becomes No. 2 in U+R; Zee Anmol continues to lead Rural

Mumbai: According to the BARC data for the week 38 for the period between Saturday, 15th September 2018 and Friday, 21st September 2018, the HSM has witnessed a shuffle in the ratings of the Hindi GEC channels. Zee Anmol 861115 (000s) impressions continued its dominance with a slight increase in its viewership, followed by STAR Utsav 702196 (000s) impressions and Colors with 695563 (000s) impressions. In the HSM Urban category Colors has bounced to the top position with  474372 (000s) impressions against the 3rd position in week 37. Zee Anmol has retained its leadership position in the HSM Rural category with 697300 (000s) impressions.

In the HSM cateogory Zee TV dropped down to the 4th place this week with 622323 (000s) impressions and Star Plus 620337 (000s) impressions has stepped a rank down to occupy the 5th place in the top 10 Hindi GEC list. Sony 571360  (000s) impressions has climbed to the 6th place against its 8th place in week 37. Further, the lower order of the list remains unchanged, with STAR Bharat 567817 (000s) impressions, Sony Pal 536054  (000s) impressions and Rishtey 454365 (000s) impressions occupying the 7th, 8th and 9th places and SONY SAB manages to occupy the 10th place in the chart with 436191 (000s) impressions.

Hindi GEC Urban

In week 38, Colors emerges as a market leader with 474372 (000s) impressions followed by Star Plus with 427416 (000s) impressions and Sony Entertainment Television with 427364 (000s) impressions. Zee TV has retains the 4th spot with 378381 and Star Bharath and taken a step forward to occupy the 6th slot with 282178 (000s) impressions. SONY SAB 326981(000s) impressions , STAR Utsav 209016 (000s) impressions and Zee Anmol 163815 (000s) impressions are seen lined up in the 5th , 7th and 8th places resepectively. However, Sony Pal 158099 (000s) impressions and &TV 112279 (000s) impressions managed to stand at the 9th and 10 positions in the chart.

Hindi GEC Rural

Zee Anmol is seen continuing its dominance in the HSM rural category, followed by Star Utsav 493180 (000s) impressions and Sony Pal with 377955 (000s) impressions.  Rishtey with 344623 (000s) impressions is seen retaining its 4th slot while STAR Bharat 285639 (000s) impressions has moved to the 6th place giving away its 5th place to Dangal TV 315369 (000s) impressions. Other GEC’s Zee TV 243942 (000s) impressions, Big Magic 240487 (000s) impressions, Colors 221191 (000s) impressions and STAR Plus 192921 (000s) impressions occupy the positions of 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th places in the chart this week.
