New Delhi: BC Jindal Group has announced the appointment of Sanjay Bhargava as Chief Executive Officer of its power arm, Jindal India Power Limited.
In his new role, Bhargava will be responsible for enhancing operational efficiency and strengthening performance at the company’s 1,200 MW thermal power facility in Odisha, comprising two 600 MW units. Commissioned in 2015, the plant has consistently improved its Plant Load Factor (PLF) and remains a key asset within the group’s energy portfolio.

Bhargava brings over 35 years of experience in the power sector, with expertise spanning power sales strategy, plant operations and maintenance, commercial and regulatory functions, advocacy, and business development. He has previously been associated with leading organisations, including Tata Power.

Since its inception, Jindal India Power Limited has entered into multiple Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with state DISCOMs and consumers across regions including Bihar, Haryana, Delhi, and Noida, spanning short-, medium-, and long-term supply arrangements.
