Gurugram: boAt, an audio and wearables brand, has unveiled its latest campaign, ‘Approved By’, for its recently launched Airdopes ProClip, using celebrity-led storytelling to address some of the biggest consumer concerns around the emerging open-ear audio category.
As open-ear earbuds gain momentum globally, Indian consumers continue to question whether such devices can deliver secure fit and private listening while maintaining ambient awareness. Through its new campaign, boAt aims to address these concerns using relatable, real-world scenarios featuring actor Sonam Bajwa and creator-actor Ambrish Verma.
The campaign consists of two digital films, each designed around a distinct consumer insight.
In the first film, Sonam Bajwa tests the secure-fit capabilities of the Airdopes ProClip through energetic dance sequences, fast movements, and her signature hair flips. The challenge-led narrative concludes with her endorsing the product’s secure open-ear design, saying, “Mainu lagda si main ziddi aan, par eh taan mere ton vi zyada ziddi nikle.”
The second film features Ambrish Verma on a busy film set, exploring another common question around open-ear audio — whether users can enjoy private listening despite the open design. As he navigates a high-energy environment with audio playing at full volume, the film demonstrates how the device delivers a private listening experience while allowing users to remain aware of conversations and surrounding activity.
By placing celebrity personalities in everyday yet exaggerated situations, boAt uses entertainment-led communication to simplify and demonstrate the benefits of open-ear audio technology.
Commenting on the campaign, a boAt spokesperson said, “With open-ear audio still an emerging category in India, consumers naturally have questions around fit, comfort and privacy. The ‘Approved By’ campaign was created to answer these questions through real-life situations that make the category easier to understand and experience.”
The campaign is currently live across boAt’s digital and social media platforms, with Sonam Bajwa and Ambrish Verma fronting the respective films.
Designed for India’s fast-paced and dynamic listening environments, the Airdopes ProClip features an open-ear design combined with secure fit, reduced audio leakage through Sonic Seal technology, and ambient awareness capabilities aimed at helping users stay connected to their surroundings.
