New Delhi: The IIMA Endowment Fund has announced the appointment of Sucheta Mahapatra (PGP 2006) as its Chief Executive Officer, marking a significant step in strengthening the Fund’s long-term vision to deepen alumni engagement and expand philanthropic impact.
An accomplished business leader with more than two decades of experience across strategy, operations and business leadership, Mahapatra brings extensive expertise in building and scaling technology-led businesses. Over the course of her career, she has held leadership roles at Bain & Company, Bharti Airtel, WeWork India, and most recently served as Managing Director – India at Branch International, where she led the company’s India operations and growth strategy.
An alumna of the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad, Mahapatra is also a gold medallist in Engineering and a recipient of the IIMA Young Alumni Achiever Award. She has additionally been recognised as the SKOCH Fintech Woman Leader of the Year for her contributions to India’s fintech ecosystem.
In her new role, Mahapatra will lead the IIMA Endowment Fund’s initiatives focused on strengthening alumni relationships, building philanthropic partnerships, and expanding the Fund’s contribution to the Institute’s strategic priorities across education, research, innovation and institution-building.
Her appointment comes at a time when the Fund is accelerating efforts to build a stronger culture of giving and mobilise long-term resources to support IIMA’s ambition of creating global impact through management education, research and public leadership.
