Kochi: Club FM Kerala has launched ‘Club CULTR’, its first dedicated electronic music radio show, marking a significant move to bring global electronic sounds to mainstream radio audiences in the state.
Announced on May 2, 2026, the weekly show will air every Saturday from 9 pm to 12 am, featuring a diverse mix of genres including deep house, melodic house, indie dance, and afro house. The launch represents a notable shift in Kerala’s evolving music and media landscape, as radio embraces more niche, genre-led programming.
The show is backed by the team behind Kappa CULTR, an established on-ground intellectual property known for hosting one of Kerala’s largest electronic music festivals. With ‘Club CULTR’, the brand aims to extend its cultural footprint from live events to on-air experiences.
At the core of the show’s programming is Circle of Artists, a DJ collective known for its presence in the independent music scene. Their involvement is expected to ensure a blend of global influences and local talent, while maintaining authenticity in curation.
Designed to bridge the gap between underground club culture and mainstream listenership, ‘Club CULTR’ seeks to build a community around contemporary electronic music. The initiative also aims to create immersive listening experiences for audiences across settings—from late-night drives to house parties and at-home listening.
Speaking about the on-air show launch, Mayura Shreyams Kumar, Director, Digital, Mathrubhumi Group, said, “While this forward-looking shift in radio has been the core of our DNA for years, we are now entering a dynamic new chapter. We are incredibly excited to expand our collaborative reach, partnering with a diverse collective of artists from across Kerala and India to take this vision further.”

Jayakrishnan N, General Manager, Club FM, added, “This initiative reflects our commitment to innovation and to staying closely aligned with evolving listener preferences. It is more than just a show—it signals the rise of a cultural movement, giving electronic music a distinct and enduring voice on Kerala’s airwaves”.
The launch of ‘Club CULTR’ underscores a broader industry trend, with radio platforms increasingly experimenting with specialised formats to engage younger, culturally driven audiences, while expanding their role beyond traditional broadcasting into community-building and experiential storytelling.
