Bengaluru: Connect and Heal, a leading health-tech company providing end-to-end coordinated care, has announced the appointments of Abhinav Nakirekanti as Director – Product Management and Nitish Kumar as Director – Data Analytics. Intending to transform Indian healthcare for the better, it has been strategically onboarding top talent into its leadership team.

Founded in 2016 by Sanjay Vinayak, Galveender Kaur, and Elwinder Singh, Connect and Heal provides integrated healthcare programs to large to medium corporates in India. Earlier this year, Prashant Kashyap joined as a Co Founder and COO, followed by Parasar Sarma from Wakefit as the Chief Marketing Officer. The company is hiring top talent for leadership roles across product, technology, marketing, design & business operations, adding impetus to its growth journey. The new appointments are a part of their plan to build a more patient-centric healthcare platform.

Abhinav Nakirekanti is a product leader with over a decade of experience in leadership roles across industries. As an entrepreneur, he co-founded a gaming company.  At Halodoc, Indonesia’s largest health tech company, Abhinav was instrumental in building the core technology platform powering their services. It helped Halodoc manage the covid surge and scale its platform providing seamless access to healthcare to millions of users. A BITS Pilani alumnus Abhinav has proven experience building scalable B2C healthcare products.

Speaking about his appointment, Abhinav Nakirekanti said, “Creating end-to-end integrated healthcare offerings is the need of the hour in India. Connect and Heal has a fantastic product-market fit. By adding scale to it, we can make integrated healthcare experience a reality for millions of Indians. At the same time, focusing on patient outcomes will help bring in much-needed transparency and accountability in healthcare.”

Nitish Kumar, who joins as the Director of Data Analytics, has more than 11 years of experience in the Indian startup ecosystem. He has worked with unicorns such as Ola and CRED. He was instrumental in setting up data analytics practice at Halodoc. Having worked extensively on various aspects of a B2C business, Nitish is adept at understanding and decoding customer behavior through data. Before joining Connect and Heal, he worked as Head of Data with BitClass in Bengaluru.

Nitish Kumar said, “It is an exciting challenge to understand the gaps in the Indian healthcare ecosystem and bridge them using the power of data. Using data, we can improve quality of care – thus, saving lives. At Connect and Heal, we are also identifying emerging global trends and bringing in best data practices to enhance both the value to business and the users.”

Talking about the two appointments, Prashant Kashyap, Co-founder & COO, Connect and Heal, said, “There is a massive opportunity to transform healthcare delivery in India. We are bringing together great problem solvers who are passionate about healthcare and want to create meaningful impact. The onboarding of Abhinav and Nitish is another step towards building a robust, dynamic leadership team at Connect and Heal. Both of them have extensive experience in their domains and are well-versed with the nuances of delivering healthcare by leveraging technology”
