New Delhi: HomeShop18 TV, the pioneer in TV shopping in India that launched the first 24 hour Home Shopping TV channel, has chalked out its expansion plans for South Market.
Sources from HomeShop18 TV’s Noida office reveal that HomeShop18 Tamil and HomeShop18 Telugu will be launched by the second half of 2016, somewhere between July to November.
According to their original plans they were suppose to launch HomeShop18 Tamil by June 2016, However the same has been delayed for July launch. Followed by that HomeShop18 Telugu will be launched within couple of weeks.
The Channel has initiated recruitment process for the Junior and Mid level Technical staff and also started auditions for the recruitment of Tamil and Telugu speaking Anchors. HomeShop18 hopes to rope in many of the popular TV and Cine Artists in order to maintain Originality in Content, Quality of presentation and also to attract the audience. Similar practice will be maintained for the launch in each and every South language Channel.
HomeShop18 Tamil will be operated in Noida for the initial six months for better training purpose and later on shifted to Bangalore as the Company has decided to make Bangalore as its South Hub due to operational convenience.
After its expansion in Tamil and Telugu market, HomeShop18 plans to further expand in to Kannada and Malayalam Market to launch HomeShop18 TV Kannada and HomeShop18 TV Malayalam.
The HomeShop18 TV channel was launched on 9th April 2008. The television network is currently available on all leading DTH platform such as Tata Sky-151, Dish TV- 118, Reliance- 219, Videocon- 124, Airtel- 112, DD Free Dish-45 and all leading cable Networks across the country.
