Mumbai: Ketto Foundation, the strategic philanthropic and CSR arm of crowdfunding platform Ketto.org, has announced the appointment of Shilpa Mishra as its new Executive Director, marking a significant step toward scaling strategic giving and deepening community engagement.
Bringing over 14 years of experience across India’s top non-profits and philanthropic institutions, Shilpa is known for her leadership in strategic fundraising, institution-building, and aligning corporate social responsibility (CSR) with grassroots impact. In her new role, she will spearhead Ketto Foundation’s next chapter of growth—driving direct CSR implementation, co-creating innovative workplace giving models, and fortifying community-based systems with a deep-rooted commitment to equity, empathy, and measurable impact.
“Philanthropy, to me, is about moving hearts, mindsets, and systems, not just capital. At Ketto Foundation, we see giving as a civic act rooted in dignity, equity, and co-creation. We’re here to build long-term systems that enable transparent models, meaningful partnerships, and community-led change. My focus is to ensure every initiative reflects purpose and trust and helps shift resources in ways that strengthen both grassroots and institutions,” said Shilpa Mishra.
Shilpa’s prior leadership roles include stints at Bhumi, GiveIndia, and Make A Difference, and contributions to Avasara Academy, Tata Strive, and The Akanksha Foundation. Throughout her career, she has successfully mobilised over ₹150 crore in CSR and institutional funding, impacted more than 1 million lives, and led initiatives to develop scalable, compliant, and inclusive philanthropic models.
“We are not just building campaigns, we are building infrastructure for generosity, pipelines for purpose, and bridges between empathy and efficiency.just campaigns,” said Varun Sheth, Co-founder, Ketto.org. “Shilpa brings the rare ability to connect institutional priorities with community needs. Her leadership will be key to scaling CSR programs that are accountable, strategic, and truly inclusive.”
With Shilpa at the helm, Ketto Foundation aims to achieve its bold mission of empowering one million families to be poverty-free by 2035, by bridging the gap between corporate intent and grassroots transformation. Her appointment reinforces the Foundation’s focus on building transparent, impact-led programs that go beyond charity to create systemic, sustainable change.
Through this leadership transition, Ketto Foundation continues to position itself as a catalyst for transformational giving—where compassion meets strategy and generosity fuels scalable, inclusive progress.
