Mumbai: Komerz, the AI-powered platform integrating commerce, marketing, data and distribution, has appointed Shahid Sadiq as its Group Chief Financial Officer, strengthening its executive leadership as the company advances its global expansion strategy and acquisition plans.
A Chartered Accountant with two decades of experience in the marketing communications industry, Sadiq joins Komerz from WPP, where he served as Global CFO of WPP Specialist Communications and PR, overseeing finance across a multi-market portfolio of operating companies. Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions including CFO and subsequently COO EMEA at Geometry Global, as well as Regional CFO for McCann Worldgroup EMEA. He has also served on the boards of listed and private companies as an advisor and Non-Executive Director.
In his new role, Sadiq will oversee group finance, capital allocation, investment strategy, fundraising, governance, performance management and investor relations, while supporting Komerz’s strategic acquisitions and international expansion across its four global hubs.
Founded in the UK in 2023, Komerz is currently undertaking a growth financing round that values the company at £500 million. The company has developed an AI-powered operating model that connects the commercial value chain—from demand generation and marketing effectiveness to conversion, distribution and revenue optimisation.
Komerz has expanded its capabilities through a series of acquisitions, including haircare brand NOUGHTY, Great Wines Direct, US-based marketing measurement and attribution company Pathformance Technologies, and brand and marketing consultancy Glassbox.
At the core of the company’s offering is the Komerz Operating System, an AI-powered commerce platform that integrates data, intelligence and execution across the brand lifecycle. The platform enables brands to enhance consumer targeting, optimise distribution channels, improve demand forecasting, support market expansion and drive performance management.
