Mumbai: Lokmat, Maharashtra’s and Goa’s No.1 daily announced Lokmat Chi Dangal Contest – an all Maharashtra women wrestling match. The winners will be felicitated by Dangal superstar Aamir Khan on December 19 in Kolhapur.
In its effort to motivate and recognize the contribution of women wrestlers in India, Lokmathas organized a unique tournament where women wrestlers from Maharashtra will participate in the competition at Kolhapur, the ‘Kushti’ city of Maharashtra.
Women participating from the various cities will converge in Kolhapur for a mega wrestling competition and showcase their wrestling skills against each other. The winners will be felicitated by none other than Aamir Khan, whose upcoming movie, Dangal, is about women wrestlers who make their mark.
Aamir Khan will announce and award Kolhapur’s No. 1 Kushti Champion and will also felicitate the winners. The event will also see Aamir Khan visitingAkhara and Kushti fraternity in Kolhapur courtesy Lokmat.
