Mumbai: Mahindra Group has announced the appointment of Vimal Agarwal as Group Chief Internal Auditor, effective July 1, 2026. The appointment underscores the Group’s continued focus on strengthening governance, risk management and internal control frameworks. He will also be part of the Senior Management Personnel.
Agarwal currently serves as the Chief Financial Officer of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd. and will succeed K N Vaidyanathan, who will superannuate on June 30, 2026, after a distinguished 40-year career, including more than 14 years with the Mahindra Group.

A Chartered Accountant and MBA, Agarwal brings over 25 years of experience across finance, governance and business strategy in multinational corporations and listed Indian companies. Over the course of his career, he has built expertise in strengthening governance structures, enhancing internal controls and supporting leadership teams in driving long-term growth strategies.
During his tenure at PepsiCo India, he held multiple leadership positions across financial operations, planning and analytics, and supply chain finance, while also driving governance and internal control initiatives.
Following his move to Mahindra Lifespaces as CFO, Agarwal worked closely with business leaders to scale sales, enhance market capitalisation, and lead fundraising, digitalisation and private equity joint ventures. Over the last two years as CFO of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Ltd., he has played a key role in driving the company’s growth strategy through financial planning, investor relations and performance optimisation initiatives.
