Chennai : The female audience in Tamil Nadu market are known for their fondness towards cookery shows as their appetite to learn new recipes are never ending. Due to this factor almost all the channels are running set based stereotype Cookery shows that has reached a saturation point making them a boring stuff.
Puthuyugam has broken the stereotype cookery concept ”Namma Ooru Namma Rusi”, that took the kitchen away from the sets to reach out to the realistic locations of the audience in various towns all over Tamil Nadu, encouraging them to display their art of cooking to clinch the title of ”Samayal Chakravarthy” thus making it a fun filled Cooking contest.
After the successful completion of the first season of Namma Ooru Namma Rusi the channel went on to launch the second season of ”Namma Ooru Namma Rusi”. During the second season the channel has covered new cities like Kumbakonam, Pollachi, Erode, Tuticorin, Madurai, Dindugal, Coimbatore and Chennai.
The event which was attended by several thousand people , in every city, three of them have been selected as ”Samayal Chakravarthy”. Our taste in Pollachi following Kumbakonam was aired last week .
”Namma Ooru Namma Rusi” on Puthuyugam will be aired on every Saturday and Sunday from 12.30pm to 01.00 P.M.
