Nielsen Showcases Strategies to Unlock India’s Creative Economy at IIC Forum 2025

New Delhi: Nielsen, a global leader in audience measurement, data, and analytics, participated in the Digital Communications and Media Forum 2025, organized by the International Institute of Communications (IIC) at the India International Centre, New Delhi.

Representing Nielsen, Rahul Bhuraria, Senior Vice President of Technology (Data Preparation), joined policymakers, industry leaders, and innovators to deliberate on the theme “Impact of Digital Policymaking and Regulation.”

Bhuraria was part of the panel discussion ‘Enabling the Creative Economy’ alongside leaders from the animation, gaming, and digital media sectors. He reflected on India’s rapidly expanding creator economy, underlining both its opportunities and challenges, and the role of ecosystem stakeholders in harnessing its full potential.

Highlighting the ongoing transformation, Bhuraria noted how the shift from linear TV to streaming is reshaping the media landscape, while traditional television continues to command major advertising spends. He emphasized Nielsen’s continued investments to adapt to this shift and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to providing creators with deeper audience insights to unlock growth in India’s creative economy.

The session was moderated by Dr. Sameer Guduru, Director, Digital Economy and Strategic Technologies, USIBC, U.S. Chamber of Commerce, and featured key speakers including Devhuti Bakshi, Director, Public Policy, E-Gaming Federation of India, and Biren Ghose, Founder & CEO, Astra Studios.
