Chennai : One of the longest running serials on Sun TV in its afternoon time band at 1:30PM “Ilavarsi” is getting replaced with a new serial “Raasi” from 3rd November onwards.
Apparently, The producers of the successful show “Ilavarasi” which has crossed over 1200 episodes, Radaan Media Works is retaining the slot and producing the new show “Raasi”, sources confirm that the shooting for the new show is running on a brisk phase.
Radaan has roped in actress “Neelima” as the female protagonist of the new show. In support to her, popular film actress Nirosha is expected to play an important role in the serial.
Sources from the market confirmed that the script of “Raasi” was done by Devibala and Direction by Arundhavaraj.
The new launch on-air promos of “Raasi” is expected to hit the screens shortly.
Radaan Media Works is one of the major content provider for Sun TV. Apart from this afternoon show, Radaan in currently producing “Vani Rani” in Prime Time @ 9:30PM (Mon-Sat), Siva Sankari @ 10.30PM (Sunday)and a Comedy show “Osthi” @ 10 PM on every Saturday.
Radaan is also working for other Sun Network channels like Surya TV and Gemini TV on commission basis to remake the Hindi show “Parvarish” in Malyalam and Telugu respectively.
Sun TV has the record of many serials running beyond 1000 episodes in the past. Nadaswaram started in the year 2010 which is being aired at 7.30PM (Mon-Sat) has completed 1162 episodes as on date.
