New Delhi: realme, a smartphone brand among young consumers, has unveiled an industry-first AI-powered mini drama series, “Darbar Diaries,” alongside the launch of its new realme 16T 5G, introducing a fresh approach to smartphone marketing through entertainment-led storytelling.
The episodic series combines fantasy-inspired narratives, alternate timelines, and AI-generated cinematic storytelling to showcase the capabilities of the realme 16T 5G while engaging digital-first audiences through immersive content experiences.
Designed as a five-episode mini drama, Darbar Diaries moves beyond conventional product demonstrations by integrating the smartphone’s key features into a fictional storyline. The initiative reflects realme’s growing focus on leveraging artificial intelligence and creative storytelling formats to connect with Gen-Z consumers.
Commenting on the initiative, realme India said, “With the AI mini drama series for the realme 16T 5G, we wanted to experiment with a fresh storytelling format that feels entertaining, immersive, and native to today’s digital-first audiences and innovation-led experiences. By combining AI creativity with fantasy driven narratives, we are reimagining how smartphone brands can engage with youth in a way that goes beyond traditional marketing.”
The series follows the journey of Arjun, a Gen-Z vlogger who is unexpectedly transported centuries into the past through a mysterious distortion in space and time. Armed with his resourcefulness and the realme 16T 5G, Arjun navigates the challenges of an unfamiliar kingdom, gradually rising through its ranks while uncovering conspiracies, developing battle strategies, and even becoming the kingdom’s unofficial portrait artist.
Through the storyline, each episode highlights a specific feature of the smartphone, including its 8000mAh battery, AI-powered camera capabilities, AI Popout functionality, long-term smoothness optimisation, and IP69-rated durability. The brand positions the device as the “8000mAh 3-Day Powerhouse,” emphasising extended battery life and everyday reliability.
The campaign represents a shift in how smartphone brands communicate product benefits, using AI-generated content and entertainment formats to create deeper engagement rather than relying solely on traditional feature-led advertising.
According to the company, Darbar Diaries underscores realme’s commitment to innovation not only in product development but also in marketing, as it explores new ways of blending technology, creativity, and storytelling.
With short-form video consumption continuing to rise across digital platforms, the AI mini drama series aims to resonate with younger audiences seeking content that is both entertaining and relatable. The initiative also reinforces the positioning of the realme 16T 5G as a versatile companion for gaming, travel, content creation, and entertainment.
By integrating AI-powered creativity with narrative-driven content, realme seeks to establish a new benchmark for smartphone marketing, demonstrating how emerging technologies can transform brand storytelling and audience engagement in the digital era.
