Bengaluru: Employee healthcare and benefits platform Onsurity has invested over ₹1 crore to launch Office Drama, which it describes as India’s first theatre-led workplace storytelling intellectual property (IP), as the company expands beyond traditional marketing campaigns into platform-led brand building.
Designed as a year-round cultural property rather than a one-off event, Office Drama combines live theatre, creator partnerships and digital storytelling to create original content around workplace experiences.
The inaugural edition, held in Bengaluru, featured nine original plays inspired by modern workplaces and was attended by more than 300 founders, HR leaders, CXOs, creators and media professionals. The performances were judged by actors Chandan Roy and Rajeev Mehta.
Unlike conventional branded events, the initiative is structured as a long-term content platform. Participating theatre groups will collaborate with Onsurity over the next nine months to develop workplace-focused films, short-form videos and other digital content. The company will also provide paid creative opportunities, healthcare benefits and long-term partnerships to participating artists.
In addition to judging the performances, Roy and Mehta conducted mentoring sessions for theatre groups, sharing insights on storytelling, performance and communication. The plays explored themes including burnout, artificial intelligence, leadership and workplace relationships.
The company plans to expand Office Drama to startup hubs across India before taking the platform to Tier II and Tier III cities.
Chandan Roy said, “Every workplace has stories that deserve to be told, and theatre has a unique way of making those experiences feel real and relatable. I am excited to be part of an initiative that not only celebrates storytelling but also creates meaningful opportunities for theatre artists.”
Rajeev Mehta said, “Theatre has always reflected society, and workplaces are one of the biggest parts of our lives today. Office Drama is a refreshing idea that encourages people to look at work through empathy, humour and honest conversations while giving theatre artists a larger platform.”

Explaining the rationale behind the investment, Kulin Shah, Co-Founder & COO, Onsurity, said, “Office Drama began with a simple belief that workplaces are made up of stories, not just systems and processes. We wanted to create a platform where those experiences could be interpreted through theatre while creating meaningful opportunities for India’s independent theatre community. Our investment goes beyond an event—we’re building a long-term cultural property that sparks better workplace conversations and supports creators along the way.”
Highlighting the company’s branding strategy, Sourav Samadder, Associate Director – Brand & Communications, Onsurity, said, “Traditional campaigns buy attention, but cultural properties build memory. Office Drama marks our shift from campaign-led marketing to platform-led brand building. Every performance will evolve into digital content over the coming months, making this a year-round storytelling platform rather than a one-time activation.”
Onsurity said the success of Office Drama will be measured across brand, community, content and business metrics, including earned media, audience engagement, creator participation and long-term relationships with founders and business leaders. Through the initiative, the company aims to build a cultural platform centred on conversations about the future of work.
