Mumbai: Paisabazaar, a digital credit platform, has announced the appointment of Santosh Agarwal as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective March 1, 2025. Santosh Agarwal takes over from Naveen Kukreja, who has successfully led Paisabazaar for 11 years, helping it become a profitable, leading player in the unsecured credit space.
According to a stock exchange filing, Naveen Kukreja has decided to step away from his operational role and explore new opportunities within PB Fintech, Paisabazaar’s parent company. He will assume the role of Group President at PB Fintech and continue advising on the future strategy for Paisabazaar. Kukreja will also play a key role in exploring long-term opportunities for the company, while maintaining his position as a valued senior leader at PB Fintech.
“Santosh Agarwal will take over as the Chief Executive Officer of Paisabazaar and will report to Yashish Dahiya to drive the business starting March 1, 2025,” the regulatory filing stated.
Santosh Agarwal, a seasoned leader with more than a decade of experience at Paisabazaar, has been a top performer within the company, consistently delivering strong results. Having been with the group since 2011, his in-depth understanding of the business and successful track record make him a natural fit to lead Paisabazaar in this new phase of growth.
Naveen Kukreja will assist in the transition over the next few months and will continue to remain on the board of Paisabazaar as a Non-Executive Director. Santosh Agarwal will also join the Paisabazaar board as an Executive Director.
“We have ambitions for Paisabazaar to not just grow its unsecured and secured lending footprint, but also expand into the world of pensions and savings. The Board, NRC and management considered various external and internal candidates and made this decision through a competitive process and we are super excited at having Santosh take on this opportunity. In addition, Santosh will continue to mentor and guide on the Life Insurance side for the short term, as well as work with Mr. Sarbvir Singh in seeing how best Paisabazaar can leverage insurance opportunities,” the filing read.
Additionally, Santosh will continue to mentor and guide on the Life Insurance side in the short term and work closely with Sarbvir Singh to explore opportunities in the insurance space for Paisabazaar.
