Mumbai: In a strategic move, Business Today, the business media vertical of the India Today Group, has announced expanded leadership roles for Siddharth Zarabi and Alok Nair.
Siddharth Zarabi, who has led Business Today’s print and TV platforms with distinction over the past four years, will now additionally take charge of the digital mandate, completing the vision of an integrated business news vertical across Print, TV, and Digital. In his new role as Group Editor, Business Today, Siddharth will report to Aroon Purie, Editor-in-Chief, for print, and to Kalli Purie for TV and digital.
Announcing the development, Kalli Purie, Vice-Chairperson, India Today Group, said, “Siddharth Zarabi has been with us for just four years, yet already feels like a homegrown ITG talent. With this move, he completes AP’s vision of a unified, synergistic business vertical across platforms. Congratulations Siddharth, on your new role as Group Editor, Business Today. I am confident you will make the most of this pivotal position.”
Also stepping into a larger role is Alok Nair, who has been serving as COO of Business Today and has been instrumental in scaling the brand’s business operations. Alok will now take independent charge of the overall SBU (Strategic Business Unit), reporting directly to Dinesh Bhatia, Group CEO, India Today Group.
Recognizing his contribution, Kalli Purie added, “Alok Nair has seamlessly integrated into our ethos and systems. No small feat — ours is an elite force, and only the top guns survive and thrive here. Alok has played a key role in scaling up the BT business. He’s full of energy, ideas — and beans (magic ones!). I have no doubt he will take BT to even greater heights.”
This leadership reconfiguration underscores the India Today Group’s commitment to integrated, platform-agnostic content delivery and the continued empowerment of internal talent. With Siddharth Zarabi and Alok Nair leading the charge, Business Today is poised to strengthen its position as one of India’s most trusted and innovative business media brands.
“This reconfiguration is a testament to our belief in our brands and the incredible talent within our organization. I’m energized by the possibilities of this stellar partnership and can’t wait to see the momentum Siddharth and Alok will create in these expanded leadership roles,” Purie concluded.
